About Ishani
My interest in Excel began when I saw how important data organisation is in many fields. This led me to pursue a Master’s in Information Systems, where I developed strong knowledge of data management and analysis. Over the past 11 years, I have helped students and professionals learn Excel through simple explanations and practical training methods that focus on real-world application.
My teaching approach focuses on hands-on learning, clarity, and adaptability. I believe students learn best when they actively work on spreadsheets while learning new concepts. I guide them step by step and provide clear explanations so they can understand easily. I also encourage students to practice regularly and ask questions, which helps them build confidence and independence.
I continue to improve my teaching by exploring new Excel features and techniques. Watching students grow from beginners to confident users is very rewarding. Many learners who initially feel unsure begin to use Excel comfortably and efficiently. Helping them achieve this progress motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and care.

Excel becomes much easier when students understand how to organise data and use tools step by step instead of feeling overwhelmed by many features. In my lessons, I focus on teaching spreadsheet basics, formulas, formatting, charts, and data handling using simple and clear explanations. I guide students through each feature carefully so they understand how it works and how it can be applied in real situations. I also use practical examples such as budgeting, tracking data, and creating reports to make learning useful and relevant. This approach helps students build confidence and interest.
Lessons are structured according to the student’s experience and goals. Beginners learn basic data entry, simple formulas, and formatting. Intermediate learners work on functions, sorting, filtering, and chart creation. Advanced students focus on pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis techniques that improve efficiency. I include hands-on practice in every session so students can apply what they learn and improve steadily. Clear guidance and feedback help them correct mistakes and gain confidence over time.
As students improve, they begin to see Excel as a powerful and useful tool rather than something complicated. Many learners gain confidence as they learn to manage data efficiently and complete tasks faster. This growth helps them in both academic and professional settings. My goal is to make Excel simple, practical, and easy to use while helping students build strong confidence and useful skills.
