About Elara
My interest in Excel developed when I first began studying how digital tools could help people manage and analyze information more effectively. I quickly realized that spreadsheets provide a powerful way to organize data, perform calculations, and present results clearly. This interest encouraged me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and later complete a Master’s in Information Systems.
Over the past 7 years, I have taught Excel to students and professionals who wanted to improve their ability to work with spreadsheets and manage data efficiently. Through teaching experience, I noticed that many learners initially find spreadsheet formulas and functions confusing. Because of this, I focus on explaining each tool clearly and guiding students through practical exercises that help them develop confidence step by step.
My teaching approach emphasizes hands-on practice and real-world application. I encourage students to explore spreadsheet features, experiment with formulas, and learn how to analyze information effectively. Helping learners develop confidence in using Excel and understand how spreadsheets support data analysis and decision making is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching experience.

My Excel lessons focus on helping students understand how spreadsheets can be used to organize information, perform calculations, and analyze data efficiently. Excel is widely used in academic environments and professional workplaces because it allows users to manage large amounts of information in a structured format. In my lessons, I guide students step by step so they can understand how spreadsheet tools function and how they can be applied in practical situations.
Lessons usually begin with the basic features of Excel so beginners can build a strong foundation. Students first learn how to enter and organize data within cells, adjust formatting, and perform simple calculations using formulas. Once these skills become comfortable, learners begin exploring commonly used functions that help automate calculations and simplify data management tasks.
As students progress further, lessons expand into topics such as sorting and filtering data, applying conditional formatting, and creating charts that visually represent information. Students also learn how to build pivot tables and structured reports that summarize complex datasets. My goal is to help learners develop practical Excel skills that can be applied in academic work, professional tasks, and everyday data organization.
