About Nova
I am a dedicated Saxophone tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, and I have successfully taught around 150 students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I enjoy helping students understand music clearly while developing strong playing skills.
My tutoring approach focuses on clear skill development and practical support. I start by teaching posture, breathing control, tone production, and finger technique. These fundamentals help students play comfortably and avoid common mistakes. As students progress, I introduce rhythm training, scales, sight-reading, and song performance.
Each lesson is planned based on the student’s level and learning pace. I explain concepts in a simple way and demonstrate techniques clearly. I also guide students on how to practise effectively at home so they can see steady improvement.
My unique strength is my ability to guide students with clarity and patience. My goal is to help students build confidence, discipline, and enjoyment while learning the saxophone.

My saxophone teaching methodology emphasises adaptability, positivity, and collaboration. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to their individual learning style, goals, and pace using demonstration, listening exercises, and hands-on practice.
Flexibility is key in my approach. Lessons are adjusted according to student progress, interests, and motivation, ensuring that learning is both productive and enjoyable. Collaboration allows students to actively participate, experiment with improvisation, and share ideas, building both technical skill and creativity.
I maintain a positive, encouraging environment where achievements are celebrated and challenges are viewed as opportunities for growth. Lessons include saxophone techniques, musical interpretation, improvisation, performance preparation, and theory for a comprehensive learning experience.
I also teach complementary subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and ensemble performance. My goal is to cultivate confident, expressive musicians with a lifelong love for music.
