About Amir
I am an enthusiastic Saxophone tutor with 19 years of teaching experience, having successfully taught around 150 students at various learning levels. I focus on helping students develop skills that last long term.
My tutoring approach emphasises long-term skill development rather than quick results. I build strong foundations in posture, breathing, tone production, and finger technique. Lessons are paced carefully to ensure deep understanding.
I combine technical exercises with song learning, listening practice, and simple theory explanations. I also help students learn how to practice effectively and independently.
My unique strength is my focus on sustainable learning and steady improvement. My goal is to help students become confident and self-reliant saxophone players.

My saxophone teaching methodology is student-centred and focuses on flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. I recognise that each learner has a unique way of learning, so I adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles, goals, and pace using hands-on practice, demonstration, and listening exercises.
Flexibility ensures lessons evolve with the student’s progress and interests, keeping learning motivating and enjoyable. Collaboration encourages students to experiment with improvisation, participate actively in lesson planning, and contribute ideas, fostering creativity and self-confidence.
I create a positive and encouraging learning environment where achievements are celebrated, and challenges are viewed as opportunities to grow. Lessons cover saxophone technique, musical interpretation, improvisation, performance skills, and music theory, providing a comprehensive learning experience.
In addition to saxophone, I teach related subjects such as ensemble performance, sight-reading, ear training, and music theory. My aim is to develop confident, expressive musicians with a lifelong love for music.
