About Gauthier

Hello, I am currently a student in M2 Public Affairs & International Governance at Essec and in L3 Philosophy at Nanterre University. Before that, I did a preparatory class for three years and I obtained the marks of 2 x 19 and 15 in the ESH (Economics, Sociology, History) tests at the entrance exams. I obtained about 18/20 of average for the year in preparatory class. I have already accompanied several of my comrades in their exam revisions and for several literary subjects (ESH, Philosophy, Literature).

Regarding the method, here it is in 10 small madeleines. 1. Before the class, I will understand your student's request and identify the specific themes he wants to work on. This will allow me two things. On the one hand, make sure I have all the elements to transmit them in an exhaustive, precise and understandable way to your child. On the other hand, offer him a topical subject or reflection on which to work before the course. I will also keep abreast of your student's progress in Economics / SES and I will adapt to it. 2. I will use part of the first session to understand the needs of your student, his approach to the subject as well as his state of mind in the work. 3. A second part will be dedicated to dissertation methodologies: a well-constructed essay, a well-conducted introduction, well-developed definitions, a well-problematized subject and a well-arranged conclusion assure the student of some of the important points. Note that the methodology mentioned is more or less the same when it comes to answering a course question. 4. On the day of the course, I will provide the student with all the essential authors and / or concepts of the theme studied. A subject well treated and a subject which rests on a solid "spine", without false note. 5. It is only once this backbone of fundamental authors has been erected that additional knowledge can be added in order to nourish the essay with examples. To do this, I will seek figures, graphs, economic equations, miscellaneous articles. I will also make sure to give your student the desire to deepen his cultural spectrum, count on me. 6. Once the topic has been dealt with, I will give the student a quick conclusion so that he can appropriate the knowledge he has learned. 7. At the end of the course, I will set up a question / answer time so that the student can share his remarks or misunderstandings with me. 8. The student will not leave without work. I will suggest a reading, a text or a topical subject to think about for the next class. 9. I remain available by text or phone to answer the most urgent questions. 10. Throughout the session, I will take time to ask questions and interact with the student. I will take this opportunity to make him aware of several notions: the notion of "knowledge" (how is knowledge built? How does it stand out from ordinary knowledge?); the notion of vocabulary (why the author used this precise word and not another?); the notion of circumstances (under what circumstances did the author write this? how does this influence his argument?); and others ... Besides, I have no doubt that a good teacher is a teacher who continues to learn. Just as your child will have homework assignments and topics to think about, I will try to ensure that my skills and knowledge are complete before each lesson.
