About Samantha
Learning another language can be difficult. I'm here to make that process easier! In 2015, I obtained my bachelor's degree in Creative Writing with a minor in literature. I also have two ESL certifications: 100-hour TESOL/TESL/TEFL Teacher Training Certification and 140-hour specialization in Teaching TOEFL Preparation. Along with this, I have spent 7 years in Asia teaching students with little to no English. During my time, I was the manager and head teacher of my school and in charge of creating new courses, training teachers in new and effective ways of teaching, and creating an enriching school environment.
When it comes to teaching, I view it as a safe place to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn. In our lessons, students and teacher alike can be goofy, have fun, and enjoy the lesson. At the same time,there will be hard work and dedication. I am always here for the student.

As a tutor, my job is to tailor the lessons to your individual needs. Through the use of video lessons with PowerPoints, I will provide interactive lessons that are engaging. My methodology to teaching is that it's okay to make mistakes. With every mistake, we can take that as a chance to learn.
In each lesson, we will start with a warm-up to review and instill foundational English skills. After the warm-up, we will proceed to the lesson where new information is learned. Next, we will apply and practice the new skills.
Each lesson is tailored to the student, and I teach students of every age. My primary focus is on students with little to no English. In these classes, I will cover phonics and spelling skills, reading and comprehension, listening, and speaking. There will be ample chances for the students to practice and gain a great English foundation to make learning a language even easier for them.
