I am a native English speaker with Iranian-Canadian roots, and I’ve been teaching English since I was 16. I have TESOL, TTC, and ITTC certifications. I teach because I love helping others gain confidence in expressing themselves. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging space where every learner thrives.

Teaching Approach & Methodology
My teaching approach is student-centered, structured, and goal-oriented. With formal training in TTC and TESOL methodologies, I apply communicative language teaching (CLT) and task-based learning strategies to ensure students actively use English in meaningful contexts.
I focus on building both accuracy and fluency. Grammar and vocabulary are always taught within context, followed by guided and free practice to help learners internalize the language. I emphasize speaking from the very first session to help students build confidence and reduce hesitation.
My lessons include:
Clear learning objectives for each session
Interactive speaking activities
Constructive error correction and immediate feedback
Personalized materials based on learner goals
Continuous progress tracking
I adapt my teaching style depending on the learner’s pace, strengths, and preferred learning style.
Typical Lesson Structure & Duration
Standard lessons are 60 minutes and structured as follows:
Warm-up and review (5–10 minutes)
Presentation of new material (15–20 minutes)
Guided practice and interactive tasks (20–25 minutes)
Free speaking practice and feedback (10–15 minutes)
For younger learners, I adjust session length to 30–45 minutes and incorporate more visual and engaging activities.
Qualifications & Experience
I hold a TTC (Teacher Training Course) certificate and a TESOL certification, which have equipped me with practical classroom management skills, lesson planning strategies, and effective teaching methodologies for different age groups and proficiency levels. On the other hand, English is my first language, although I have been studying English academically since I was 3 years old.
I have experience teaching one-on-one and small group classes, both online and in-person. My experience includes helping learners improve speaking fluency, pronunciation, grammar accuracy, and exam preparation skills.
