About Dana
I recently completed my TEFL certification, and I’m genuinely excited to start my journey as an ESL English tutor. I’ve always been a bit of a bookworm, and reading has shaped the way I think about language and communication. I love challenging myself, whether that’s through learning, teaching, or even my regular workouts. As a mom of two, I’ve learned the value of patience, encouragement, and meeting people exactly where they are — and I bring that same approach into my lessons.
I want to teach because I love helping people grow in confidence and discover what they’re capable of. For me, tutoring isn’t just about grammar or vocabulary; it’s about supporting learners, celebrating progress, and making English feel accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

I take a personalized and practical approach to tutoring, and I try to make every lesson feel clear, supportive, and genuinely useful.
My first priority is understanding what each learner wants to achieve, whether they’re a child, teenager, or adult, and then building lessons that match their goals and learning style.
I use real‑world materials, simple explanations, and steady step‑by‑step guidance so students can grow in confidence without feeling pressured or overwhelmed.
I also work hard to create a calm, encouraging atmosphere where questions are welcome and mistakes are just part of learning.
My aim is for every student to finish a lesson feeling more capable, more motivated, and more aware of how to keep improving in their own time.
