About Erica
I am a primary school teacher since 2013. Since then, I have been teaching English at a school in Barcelona for 2 years, I spent a year in the UK to improve my English skills and became a volunteer at a school to learn more about the British education system. That year I did private lessons with an English-speaking teenage boy. His second language was Spanish and I prepared sessions with him to refresh content and to prepare ahead of Secondary Education exams that must pass to enter the British School. Currently, I work as a teacher in a public school in Barcelona. I am in the classroom with the tutor group and am responsible for students with learning difficulties and those who need individual support.

My name is Erica and I am a primary school teacher. I carry out support lessons for elementary, secondary and adult general subjects and languages (Catalan, Spanish and English). I also can do technology lessons (Tablet use, mobile phone, computer...). I like working with new technologies and with different strategies to teach and help my students. For example, when I teach English I like doing games and dynamic Speaking. When reviewing the contents I want my students to learn as much as possible significantly through schemes and connections to their prior knowledge. For example, before beginning to review a topic, I like my students to tell me what they already know about it and try to expand their knowledge by teaching strategies to investigate and be self sufficient when studying. I do individual monitoring and evaluations at each session to ensure that my students are following classes and doubts are resolved in the end of each class. I like to make my students feel safe and show them that with time can be themselves who teach that one day someone learned.

Erica es una profesora cuya vocación es la clave: enseñar, y a la vez también aprender algo nuevo de cada uno de sus alumnos. Transmite confianza, empatía y organización, todo un conjunto perfecto para ayudar a las nuevas generaciones a seguir creciendo como alumnos y más importante aún, como personas.
Erica es una persona muy seria y formal. Se toma las clases de mi hijo de 1 ESO con gran interés. Es cercana al niño sabiendo muy bien cómo tratar a un adolescente sin olvidar lo qué tiene que hacer con él. Cien por cien recomendable. Sin duda una gran elección.
