About Katie
In 2023 I obtained an MA in International Law; Ethics and Politics from University of Birmingham. I obtained my BA in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics, also from UoB. I've been tutoring online since 2018 and I've had some lovely feedback during this time. I now teach Religious Studies and Religious Education at an online school. I really enjoy learning about and teaching ethics, specifically climate ethics and social justice.

I have been tutoring GCSE and A Level students in both Religious Studies and Philosophy since 2018. I specialise in Islam, Christianity and Buddhism. I currently work as a Religious Studies, Law and Classics teacher at Cambridge Online School and College International. I take a very individualistic approach to teaching. I try to make all of my sessions engaging, fun, and rooted in real-world examples. I try to give as much control to my students as possible to decide topics and activities they enjoy the most and learn from. My overall goal is to help students navigate their studies with less stress and more enjoyment. Usually, we can assess progress through exam-style questions or essay questions. Also, I try to incorporate verbal methods to assess, such as small, low-pressure quizzes to allow the student to demonstrate retention.

Katie is a brilliant tutor. She is currently tutoring our son for A level RS. Our son is extremely happy with the way Katie tutors, mentors and coaches him. Katie works hard by planning each tuition class diligently and then following it up with an email afterwards highlighting the topics covered, providing further reading materials and setting work for next lesson.
Katie follows the exam board requirements ensuring that not only all subjects are covered but that past papers are practiced, revision techniques perfected and essay writing skills strengthened. She prepares students to achieve the highest grade!
