About Keith
I'm Keith, a recent physics and mathematics graduate of Trinity College with several years of hands-on experience applying methods from physics and mathematics to challenging research problems in particle, condensed matter, and astrophysics. As an undergraduate, I developed a passion for knowledge sharing whilst working as a teaching assistant in the departments of physics and mathematics. There, I employed a structured and methodical approach to guiding students through remedial, introductory, and intermediate-level courses in such topics as calculus, electricity and magnetism, classical mechanics, and quantum mechanics. Responsible variously for providing individualized support, grading homework and exams, facilitating experimental laboratories, and hosting supplemental instruction lectures, my priority was helping students build confidence and mastery in their studies.

My tutoring method focuses on clarity: we review key concepts, work through examples, and tackle challenging problems step by step. A typical lesson starts with a quick recap of theory, followed by guided problem-solving tailored to each student’s level. As a former university teaching assistant, I have experience prioritizing structured instruction and individualized feedback to foster genuine understanding. As a consequence of my research background, I also have substantial experience applying the concepts learned in physics and mathematics to real-world practical problems. I have experience tutoring remedial (high school-level) and college level courses in: - Introductory physics (mechanics, waves & oscillations, etc.) - Electricity & magnetism (electrodynamics, electrostatics, etc.) - Classical field theory (symmetries and conservation laws, relativistic invariance, foundations of quantum field theory) - Quantum mechanics (solutions of Schrödinger's equation, the uncertainty principle, quantum states & operators, etc.) - Single-variable & multivariable calculus (differentiation and integration) - Algebra (solving equations and inequalities, graphing functions, manipulating polynomials, etc.)
