About Sophie
Hi, I’m Sophie! Maths has always been one of my favourite subjects, and I achieved an A at GCSE before going on to study Marine Environmental Science at university, where I graduated with a 2:1. I know from experience that maths can feel overwhelming at times, but with the right guidance, it becomes much more manageable (and even enjoyable!). I now tutor Key Stage 3 and GCSE Maths, focusing on building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and helping students reach their potential. I make lessons interactive and encouraging, adapting my approach to suit each student’s learning style. Outside of tutoring, I’ve worked at an environmental consultancy, which gave me a strong background in analysis and critical thinking — skills I bring into my teaching to show students how maths applies to the real world. If you’re looking for a supportive tutor who can make maths clearer and less stressful, I’d be delighted to help.
