About Pranavi
Hi, I’m Pranavi, and I’m truly passionate about helping young students develop a love for learning, particularly in English. I know that every child learns differently, and I love finding creative ways to engage students, helping them gain confidence in their abilities. Having studied psychology, I understand the importance of creating a supportive and patient environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and grow at their own pace.
I’m originally from India, and having gone through my own educational journey, I understand the challenges of adapting to different curriculums. This has made me adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful as a tutor. Outside of tutoring, I love volunteering, and I’ve worked with students from diverse backgrounds, which has deepened my commitment to helping others succeed. I’m also an explorer at heart, so you might find me hiking or discovering new places around London!

Teaching Techniques and Methodology
While I am new to formal tutoring, my experience in mentoring students at King's College London and volunteering with Teach For India has shaped my approach to teaching. I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. My methods are interactive and engaging, helping students actively participate rather than passively absorbing information. I also incorporate real-life examples, creative exercises, and step-by-step breakdowns to ensure students understand the core concepts.
Typical Length of a Lesson
I typically offer 60-minute sessions, which provide ample time to introduce new concepts, practice exercises, and review previous material. For students needing more in-depth support, I can extend lessons to 90 minutes. I ensure that the lessons are balanced between focused learning and interactive activities, especially for younger students who benefit from varied teaching techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
Although I am new to formal tutoring, I am currently pursuing a BSc in Psychology at King’s College London, which has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding how students learn and develop. Through my roles as a mentor at King's College and my teaching experience with Teach For India, I’ve worked closely with students to help them improve their learning outcomes. My IELTS score of 8.5 also attests to my strong command of the English language, making me well-equipped to help students build their skills.
