About Maria
I am a Master of Research in Biological Sciences with my undergraduate degree in Applied Biomedical Science. I love learning about human biology and that of all other living things too! I hope with my passion for science and research I can show you and help teach you the secrets of life and adaptation on this planet!

In typically 1 hour-long lessons, I aim to teach secondary/high school youth (14 - 18 years) about the fascinating world of biology through diagrams, mind maps and fun mnemonics! I hold a valid PVG certificate from Disclosure Scotland, and have previously mentored young adults with STEM Ambassadors in various projects and during career talks. Further, I have tutoring and demonstrating experience with undergraduate biology students at the University of Edinburgh, assisting them in understanding course material and in practical laboratory classes.
