About Lorna
I am a qualified (PGCE SCITT) secondary English teacher who has taught students ranging from 10 to 18 both in the UK and internationally. I have taught both English Literature and Language GCSEs in English Comprehensive schools and have experience tutoring A-Level and undergraduate students. I have a English BA from the University of Cambridge, as well as a MA in Global Literature and Culture.

My teaching approach is rooted in my belief that all students should be empowered to achieve their potential in English, and hope to instil the joy of my subject in all my lessons. I aim to support all students to achieve academic excellence, whilst also enriching my lessons with texts and critical theories beyond the syllabus. As a dyslexic English teacher, I am also very aware and sympathetic towards the challenges facing students with learning difficulties and ensure all my resources and methodology are tailored to support their needs so they can succeed.
