About Lara
Welcome! I am a singing tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BA in Ethnomusicology, specializing in Vocal Traditions. I am passionate about harmony stacking, vocal arrangements, and lush textural layering for ensembles and multitrack vocal recordings. My teaching covers A Cappella, Pop, Gospel, and R&B styles. You’ll learn blending, arranging, counter-melody creation, and production techniques. I enjoy mentoring school students, college musicians, and rising professional artists. I also teach improvisation, composition, music technology, and music history to deepen understanding. My classroom environment is warm and energizing. My teaching approach focuses on helping singers understand sound from the inside out. Ear training is a major part of each session. Students learn to recognize pitch, intervals, and harmony patterns. I work closely with advanced teens and quartet members to perfect their tuning. They learn to listen as a group and sing with balance. I provide steady feedback that makes improvement feel easy. Lessons are simple to follow. I teach breath support, tone shaping, and phrasing. We build confidence through practice and repetition. Singers walk away with stronger technique and clearer tone. With time, students sing with accuracy and musical control. They grow into expressive musicians.
