About Avian
My name is Nuriyah, but I mostly go by Avian! I’m 20 years old, and I love to draw, write and overall be creative, and I encourage my students to do the same! I currently am an in-person tutor at my local elementary school, but wanted to offer my services to a broad range of people. As someone with learning disabilities, I know how hard it is to need help and be embarrassed to look for. My goal is to provide students with the help they need, while making a comfortable environment.

I offer English tutoring specifically focused on grammar and spelling for young children from kindergarten to 3rd grade. A lesson with me will include: phonics lessons, blending word practice, letter names and sounds, and overall focus on the fundamentals to help with learning to read. I aim to create a fun, judgement free experience where students learn at their own pace and are free to express themselves and ask for help! I’m here for the students, so their needs will be prioritized.
