About Barbara
I have 10 years of experience as an English teacher in England, Senegal, Cape Verde, Morocco and Malaysia. I am specialized in the Phonics approach for the teaching of letters and sounds in English to develop better independent reading ability and pronunciation of words. I have extensive experience in IELTS, FCE and CAE, as well as in the design of tailor-made courses.

My method of teaching is the communicative methodology, which is based on the ability to express oneself adequately in a specific situation, with topics and content relevant to the student, which encourages interest in the learning process. In turn, I develop the language and the abilities of the student according to their limitations when carrying out the main task of each class. Reflection and correction of errors is also an important part of my methodology.
