About Aisling
I am a student who has recently graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1. I have been educated in linguistics, poetry, drama and prose and feel ready to pass on my knowledge. I also took a module in TEFL and feel prepared to assist in English literacy as well. I have taught younger students before, having spent a year teaching primary school students when I was in sixth form, but feel equally at ease with older students.

My teaching method is always student-centred. I feel I work with an equal balance of what the student requires, in terms of examinations and assessments, and what works best for them. I see myself as a Faciliator, in that the approach I take enables students to develop critical thinking skills and promote self-learning. For a subject like English, independent thought is essential, and it is not learned through the lecturing of facts but the exploration of information and the facilitation of critical thought, which I encourage in my students.
