About Mars
I am in the last year of my undergraduate degree. My concentration is in English. As a result, I have written countless research and analytical papers alike and have become quite familiar with the writing process. I aspire to take a 2 year After-Degree in Education to become a full-fledged (English) teacher.
Part of what makes me a suitable English teacher is because English is not my first nor the only language I know. I can speak, write, and understand Tagalog as well. This attribute makes me a perfect candidate to help you reach your potential when it comes to reading, writing, and/or understanding English.

My teaching methodology is founded on establishing rapport with my students. Once this connection has been created, I use this to understand my students' needs and abilities; and I tailor my teaching accordingly.
I relate course material to real life applications thereby igniting the spark necessary for my students to become inspired and/or motivated to continue learning.
Depending on individual student abilities, I break larger concepts down into smaller, more manageable (and achievable) bite-size pieces so that both my students and I feel a sense of accomplishment and are motivated to continue learning.
Flexibility is key. If one method does not work for my student, I adjust my teaching methods until they begin to understand. I do not hesitate to ask for feedback from them so that learning becomes a collaborative work more than simply a cause and effect. By doing this, I believe that any student I tutor will continue learning, and perhaps more importantly, they will enjoy the process of learning.
