About Kaya
My name is Kaya. I am 18 years old, and having just left college I want to pursue my passion for teaching English and helping young people to flourish, honing their talent for writing or, indeed, establishing such a talent. I believe that all young people can thrive in English when given the chance, and my aim is to give all young people this opportunity.

My techniques entail practical work, with detailed analysis of writing with a 'what works' and 'what doesn't' approach. Students will be taught how to create cohesion within their writing, basic linguistic terminology and advanced, age-appropriate vocabulary to enhance their writing. Reading suggestions may also be given, and students will be given written tasks to complete which they will then receive feedback on. Lessons usually last around 20-30 minutes, though can be altered depending on the student's needs. I achieved two A**s (9s) in GCSE English language and literature, as well as an A* in A-level English Language. I have partaken in creative writing since the age of 12, and am currently working on a novel to be published next year. My lessons are suitable for all ages up to 17, as all lessons are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual; whether that be spelling, improving vocabulary, writing interesting characters or improving the flow of their writing.
