About Shaun
• My Teaching Style: I take a calm, clear, and step-by-step approach that helps students feel comfortable and supported. Whether we’re working on spelling, grammar, reading, or essay writing, I always adjust my lessons to match the student’s level and learning style. I use fun and engaging activities for younger students, and more structured support for older students who are preparing for NAPLAN or high school assessments. • Lesson Length: Most of my lessons run for 60 minutes, but I offer 30–45 minute sessions for younger students who benefit from shorter, focused learning times. Each session is organized and goal-oriented, with time for questions and review. • Qualifications and Experience: I have experience tutoring students across K–10 in both literacy support and academic enrichment. I help students improve their English skills and build confidence in reading and writing. I’m reliable, patient, and always happy to explain things as many times as needed. • Who I Work With: I tutor students from Kindergarten to Year 10, including: Early learners developing reading and writing basics Primary students working on grammar, spelling, or comprehension High school students learning how to write essays and respond to texts Anyone looking to improve their English in a fun and supportive way My goal is to make English feel less stressful and more enjoyable—just like a good game or practice session, learning becomes easier when you feel supported, motivated, and ready to give it your best.

Key Tips – My Approach to English Tutoring (Years K–10) • Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I use a patient, supportive, and step-by-step approach to help students build confidence in reading, writing, spelling, and grammar. I focus on making learning fun and easy to understand, using examples, guided practice, and creative activities. For older students (Years 7–10), I also focus on essay writing, comprehension skills, and how to respond to different types of texts. • Typical Length of a Lesson: Lessons are usually 60 minutes long, but I can adjust based on age and attention span. For younger students (K–3), shorter lessons (30–45 minutes) can be arranged. • Qualifications and Experience: I have experience tutoring primary and high school students in English from Kindergarten to Year 10. I help students improve their writing, reading fluency, and comprehension.
