About Joe
I gained experience by volunteering to assist teaching in lower school during sixth form, and so I have developed an understanding of how teaching style should reflect and support the abilities and interests of each individual student. I consistently achieved top grades in English throughout my time at school, but was only able to do so because I had formed my own voice as a writer, which helped me to convey a personal understanding and interpretation of the texts I studied. This individual voice is the kind of thing I want to help a student to develop, because it is vital not only in school, but also in their future life and career.

I'm looking to share with students the passion I have for English, and equip them with fundamental skills, such as the ability to analyse and criticise, with the goal of fostering a strong sense of confidence in their own interpretations.
