About Laura
My name is Laura and I love teaching!
I first went to University wanting to be a journalist, but after working in a primary school alongside my degree, I decided that this was the career for me!
I have been tutoring as a part-time job for a year and a half and have delivered over 600 sessions!
Currently, I am studying PGCE Primary in Manchester and will be a qualified UK Primary teacher by the end of June! I am on placement in a Nursery at the moment.
I love to create my own recipes and make clothes for my small business in my spare time. I am also passionate about all kinds of music and can play the French Horn!

I like to get to know the personal goals and interests of my students before I begin teaching them to make sure they can get as much as possible out of my lessons.
When teaching younger children, I like to make lessons fun by including educational games in and amongst their work to build a good rapport with my students and make sure they are engaged throughout their tutoring sessions.
When teacher older children, I will pre-assess them to make sure we are targeting the areas most needed of improvement. I make sure to adapt to their ways of working to help them progress efficiently and independently.
