About Brad
Hello! I'm Bradley and I'm a recent graduate of the University of Edinburgh. I achieved Upper Second-Class Honours in MA English Literature with First-Class Honours for my dissertation. I was previously a tutor for Pembroke Tutors and have more than a years worth of experience in teaching English Literature and Language at GCSE and A-Level.
I understand how difficult and stressful school can be. During school, I never got above 40% in tests. My teachers never bothered to help as I was deemed 'too difficult' and I dreaded lessons. I decided to change this and taught myself with online resources, Youtube and study guides. Contrary to people's expectations of D's and E's – I gained A*'s and A's across the board. Ultimately, I proved to myself and everyone else that you can achieve good grades as long as you work hard and smart. My goal is to empower my students, giving them the tools and confidence to realise their potential!

I begin a session by asking what you’re finding difficult and what you’d like to achieve. I tailor sessions accordingly and help you on anything from exam technique to revisiting basic concepts. I incorporate exam-style questions and break them down into smaller chunks to help you approach them as a set of manageable tasks rather than one giant problem. It’s all about making things as simple and easy as possible for you.
I will also teach you more broadly on how to approach studying, helping you with time-management, organisation and mindset, as I want to empower you to feel confident and to take control of your learning.
Ultimately, I make sure lessons feel as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, as I know students learn more when they feel that they can be themselves and offer their perspectives!
