About Kayla
Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m in my mid-30s and live in Canada. Education and travel have been a huge part of my life—I’ve spent the past 15 years teaching English, with my love of teaching taking me around the world.
Travel continues to be one of my biggest passions, and I love finding ways to learn, teach, and connect with different cultures along the way. In addition to my teaching experience, I also run my own tutoring business, where I get to bring my creative approach to learning into one-on-one and small-group settings.
I’m outgoing, creative, and passionate about making education fun, meaningful, and memorable. I truly believe some of the best learning happens when we’re enjoying ourselves!

Why Learn With Me?
I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and something children look forward to! I have years of experience teaching young children, including ages 3–5, and I love turning everyday learning into games, rhymes, music, and hands-on activities.
I also have international teaching experience, having taught overseas in more than five countries across Asia, working with children and learners who were non-native English speakers. This experience taught me how to adapt my teaching style to meet each learner where they are and build their confidence along the way.
Whether we’re working on English, literacy, communication, or early learning skills, my goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where learning feels exciting—not like a chore!
