About Alisha
Hello! I’m Alisha, an English Linguistics and Literature graduate with 3 years of teaching experience in both physical and online settings.
I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to their individual needs, level, and goals. My classes are interactive, supportive, and focused on helping students develop strong reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, communication, and comprehension skills.
I have experience teaching children and teenagers, including UK Year 1 and Year 4 students and O Levels students aged 11–17. For younger learners, I use engaging presentations, worksheets, activities, games, phonics, CVC words, and sentence-building exercises to make learning enjoyable. For older students, I provide structured guidance in grammar, reading, writing, and communication.
With my academic background in English Linguistics and Literature, along with my practical teaching experience, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, learn from their mistakes, and build confidence at their own pace.

My lessons are suitable for children and young learners as well as students who want to strengthen their English language skills. Whether a student needs help with the basics, wants to improve reading and writing, or simply wants to become more confident in English, I aim to create a supportive environment where they can learn at their own pace.
My teaching approach is interactive, student-centered, and practice-based. I first identify the areas where a student needs support and then customize lessons accordingly. Rather than simply explaining a topic, I use examples, guided practice, questions, activities, worksheets, games, and constructive feedback to help students understand and apply what they learn.
For younger learners, I make lessons engaging through interactive presentations, phonics activities, CVC words, sound blending, vocabulary building, sentence formation, reading activities, and age-appropriate games. I also help children turn their ideas and thoughts into complete sentences, develop their reading and writing skills, and build confidence in using English.
For older students, I focus on grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary, comprehension, sentence structure, and effective communication. I have experience providing individual mentoring to students aged 11–17 from an O Levels background, particularly helping non-native English speakers improve their reading and writing skills.
My goal is simple: to make English understandable, engaging, and useful.
