I've been studying English throughout secondary school and am currently top of my A-level class at a selective sixth form college where I am also on an academic scholarship. In the past I've tutored students at GCSE level who've improved up to three grades since tutoring. In the future I want to pursue a career as a teacher because I'm passionate about helping students and in the importance of education

I've been tutoring for English and history for the last two years and in my experience providing hour-long sessions where we look at the student's past essays, correct their essay structure, discuss the texts and work on techniques for memorising quotes and writing essay plans under pressure works best. My lesson times can range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on your preferred time and I can help prepare students for end of year assessments in years 7-9, and GCSEs in years 10 and 11
