About James
My name is James and I am a native English speaker from Canada currently living in Alberta. I also speak fluent Tagalog, which I feel helps me better understand the challenges of learning and communicating with others in a different language.
A little about me! I am currently a university student halfway through my degree. I absolutely love learning and would love to connect with you through experiences and learning more about you! I very much love the outdoors which ranges in a variety of activities like going for walks, hiking, camping, photography, and so much more! In contrast with that, being very much a homebody in the ways of video games, movies, art, and more you may learn about me in our conversations.
For the past 2 years, I’ve been teaching English to students with unique backgrounds, levels, and learning styles. At the moment, I am studying Music and Education at the University of Lethbridge. My studies have helped me develop creative and effective teaching methods that make lessons more engaging and personalized. Outside of teaching, I enjoy learning about other cultures and connecting with people from around the world, so I try to always make my classes interactive, open-minded, and conversation-focused. Curiosity is always there and sometimes gets the best of you!
