About Spencer
My passion for English language and literature has shaped my career, leading me to earn an M.A. in English Literature and Applied Linguistics. Over 12 years, I have taught students of all ages and abilities, guiding them to improve fluency, comprehension, writing skills, and critical thinking. My experience spans tutoring school and university learners, professionals, and adults seeking practical or academic proficiency.
I employ a student-centered approach that prioritizes adaptability, engagement, and personalized guidance. Lessons combine grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and conversational exercises, alongside critical analysis and literary discussion. I focus on fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and effective communication, supporting learners in developing strong language skills while enjoying the process.

Intermediate students enhance writing, reading comprehension, discussion skills, and more complex sentence construction. Advanced learners develop analytical writing, literary critique, advanced vocabulary, and persuasive or professional communication skills. Each session combines structured teaching with hands-on exercises, collaborative activities, and personalized feedback for consistent and meaningful progress.
English study also builds critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and self-expression.
