About Kimberly
I love working with people from different cultures. My undergraduate degree is in Intercultural Studies. As such, I spent time traveling to different parts of the world: Brazil, Turkey, Morocco, Spain, Italy--they were all amazing! After returning to the US, I started working in Adult Education teaching English. Although I am an educator, I also see myself as a welcomer for internationals. While traveling, I met so many kind people who helped me when I needed it, and I want to do the same for people who are new to my country or language. Since that time, I have obtained my Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of San Francisco. Professionally, I have worked with a variety of students, from business professionals, to beginning literacy refugees, university students, and even grandparents who want to learn English so they can communicate with their grandchildren. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in your language learning journey!

I am a passionate educator who comes alongside students as they work to achieve their personal and professional goals. All my lessons are student-focused (we focus on your goals--not mine!) with an eclectic approach (I use different resources and strategies depending on your learning style and specific needs). I have worked with language learners of all ages from a variety of backgrounds. I speak some Arabic and a little Spanish. My lessons are ideal for adult learners who are seeking to boost their language skills for work, school, travel, or even social reasons.

My rate is typically between $30-60/hr depending on what sort of package you want. For example: - Tutoring for a specific class you are taking where you provide a textbook or the tasks you want assistance with. $30/hr - Business English or occupational language tutoring where I research your occupation and provide coaching for a specific role would be closer to $60/hr
Oral Language Analysis. Service with a flat fee. I perform an analysis of your language production, reviewing your grammar and pronunciation. You receive a transcript of the sample that documents errors and gives you specific feedback about areas for improvement. This service is ideal for advanced students who will be using English in a professional setting. $250+
