English graduate and tutor English teacher at Tunbridge Wells - Chloe-Louise

I have been friends with Chloe for over five years now and she is one of the warmest, funniest and cleverest person I have ever met. I lived with her while studying at Leeds University where she studied English literature and I studied Graphic Design. Being an international student from Spain I often struggled with my English and felt self-conscious about it. It was mainly thanks to Chloe that I started to feel more confident when speaking in English in public. She would correct me when I made mistakes and would do it with great pedagogy, empowering me rather than judging me. She went to great lengths to help me when I had to write essays and was always happy to take the time to explain any cultural references I had missed when in social situations. Chloe is a book worm and is passionate about language and literature and with her positive and fun personality, she is someone you want to be friends with and continuously learn from.

Having read Heart of Darkness, I struggled to come to grips with the context behind the book and it’s deeper meaning. Chloe has in depth knowledge of this area from her degree and was able to broaden my understanding of a complex book and time.
