About Jasmyne
For previous experience in creative writing, I have attended numerous writing workshops as well as edited and revised several pieces of fiction from peers as well.
In terms of academic experience with English, I have taken AP Literature and AP language ( in which I received a 5). In addition, I have taken the ACTs in which I scored a 36 in English, 11 on the Essay section and a 34 in reading. I currently attend Wesleyan University where I am continuing to take English academic courses.
For teaching experience, I have tutored numerous age groups, but primarily middle schoolers, in helping with homework. I have also peer-edited several essays.
For language purposes my native language is English, but I also speak Mandarin.

Hi, my name is Jasmyne!
I am mainly looking to work with students who are in need of essay / short answer help with their assignments. This can include brainstorming possible ideas for a subject, how to properly organise an essay, as well as doing general grammar/revision checks to help give a more nuanced yet concise essay. I am also willing to teach grammar, and do poetry analysis. Literature may be varied depending or not if I have background in the literature being read.
For creative writing, I mainly work in the form of short poetry, short fiction, and longer narrative fiction as well, and would love to revise and help students edit their works as well as help them in the process of writing creative pieces for a course as well. If one wants to take a creative lesson I have plenty of exercises and assignments I can give that can help creativity from experiences at previous writing workshops.
I am looking mainly to work with those who are middle school to high school age range, though depending on the specificity of the course, I am also available for general introductory college-level English courses as well. I do not feel comfortable beyond that for specific literature pieces though.
