About Tanesh
I have taught as a substitute teacher for 25 years and loved every minute of it. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Education. I strongly believe that every student learns in a different way. A teacher should teach in a way that helps the student learn and not the other way around. I love teaching and making learning fun. I do my best to explain ideas as simply as possible. The more simply it can be explained, the easier it is to understand and remember. I teach in a dynamic and energetic manner where I show my enthusiasm for the subject. I try to engage my students by having them answer questions and share their opinions. I am very patient when helping students in the learning process. I feel that by walking students through the process and making them believe in themselves, they can succeed in their learning.

I have an energetic style of teaching. I guide my students through each step and observe their progress. I provide feedback and encourage them to try again and believe in themselves. I am very patient, excited and passionate about teaching. My students can see how energized I am as I involve them in the learning process by asking questions and helping them understand the answers. My lessons are for beginners. Students with no experience or very little experience are welcome to join my class. I do encourage them to ask questions and apply themselves to understand the material. Most importantly, I ask them to be patient as they learn something new. A typical lesson consists of an introduction of what the student will learn, the terms being introduced and simple musical pieces where the student can apply their knowledge. All lessons follow the Suzuki violin method of learning because that is how I was taught. The basics of violin and bow hold, correct posture as well as scales and understanding of notes, speed, etc... My English lessons will start with basic sentence structure and grammar along with vocabulary. Correct pronunciation as well as proper writing techniques are emphasized. Practice is key for both violin and English.
