About Aishah
My name is Aishah, and I am an English and humanities educator with a strong background in literature, psychology and holistic learning. I hold a BA in English Literature and have several years of experience supporting learners of all ages in developing clarity, confidence and genuine understanding in their reading and writing. My path has included teaching, educational consultancy, and creative work across the UK and US. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the way each student learns differently, and how compassionate, structured guidance can completely transform a learner’s relationship with English. Alongside my academic training, I draw from disciplines such as Aikido, Sufism and meditative practices, which help me cultivate patience, presence and calm focus in my teaching. Students often describe my approach as grounding, intuitive and gently motivating — a space where they feel understood, challenged and supported. Above all, I care about helping learners find their voice. Whether I’m working with a child building foundational literacy or an adult refining advanced writing skills, my aim is always to make learning clear, meaningful and empowering.

My teaching approach blends psychology, creativity and clear structure to help students genuinely understand what they are reading and express themselves with confidence. Each lesson begins with a quick diagnostic so I can tailor the session to the learner’s needs, whether that is comprehension, writing, exam preparation or deeper critical thinking.
A typical session includes guided reading, discussion, writing practice and personalised feedback. What sets me apart is my calm, compassionate presence and my ability to explain complex ideas simply. I also draw on my background in Aikido, Sufism and psychology to create a grounded, focused learning atmosphere — using gentle meditative techniques to help students regulate, concentrate and find their natural voice.
I bring insight from English literature, coaching and the humanities to create lessons that feel both supportive and intellectually engaging. I teach all ages: children building foundational literacy, teens preparing for exams, and adults seeking to strengthen their academic or professional communication. My aim is always the same — to help each student feel capable, confident and inspired.
