About Hannah
Having only recently finished exams myself, I understand the pressures of the exam period, and I hope that by providing extra support I will be able to alleviate some of that anxiety. My own studies have focused primarily on renaissance and Early modern literature, so if Shakespeare is something you’re particularly worried about, I’ll definitely be a good fit. That being said, across my academic career I have encountered all sorts of literature and I look forward to exploring anything you want to look at in more detail. Whilst I have always had a passion for literature, I know that for GCSEs in particular this isn’t always the case. Regardless of your interest in the subject, I hope to be able to provide a fun and engaging experience tailored to your interests in order to help you progress through your academic career.

I’ve always been very passionate about the study of English, and I came away from my GCSEs with a 9 and my A levels with an A. Having only recently been through the exam process myself, I have a good knowledge of what examiners are currently looking for, and I hope that my first-hand experience will provide that extra level of support. When studying for my GCSEs I also used a one-to-one online tutor, so I have a good knowledge of what techniques work best in order to help you get the most out of our sessions.
I am offering hour-long sessions, which are completely tailored to the student and the areas they feel they need the most support with. This can include anything from comprehension of difficult texts and close analysis skills, to essay structure and exam techniques. I am also happy to provide an initial half an hour session for free in order to establish what you want to get out of these tutoring sessions and to come up with a plan for future lessons, should you find me a good fit.
