About My Kim
️ I’m a friendly and patient tutor who truly believes that it’s okay not to understand something straight away. Learning can be challenging at times, and that’s completely normal! We can always take things step by step and work through it together
I’ve mentored secondary school students in Mathematics and Science subjects, helping them build confidence through calm, clear explanations. I’ve also contributed to writing Year 11 Physics textbooks and presented physics topics in school workshops, which has taught me how to make difficult ideas feel less overwhelming.
As long as a student is patient and genuinely willing to learn, I am always happy to help, no matter how long it takes or how many questions they have. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and judgement-free, and my goal is to make learning feel achievable, encouraging, and a little less stressful

- My tutoring approach focuses on clear explanations, patience, and building student confidence. Based on my volunteer experience mentoring Year 10 students in Mathematics and Science, I begin by identifying what the student already understands and where they need support. I explain concepts using simple language, examples, and guided practice, and encourage students to ask questions and explain ideas back to me.
- Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student’s needs.
- I'm an Engineering student from Curtin; I have experience volunteering as a tutor and mentor at Achievers Club WA, presenting Physics topics in school workshops, and contributing to the writing of Year 11 Physics textbooks for Elucidate Education. These experiences have strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and accurately.
- My lessons are best suited for Years 6–10, particularly in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, including students who need structured support and confidence-building.
