About Samyak
I'm Samyak, an Engineering student studying at the University of Bristol. I'm an International Baccalaureate (IB) graduate, for which I studied higher-level Mathematics Analysis, Physics and Biology. My interest in science and maths has always been beyond purely academic, however, I could not rely on natural talent to gain the understanding I have of the field today. I believe this makes me an effective tutor, since I have first-hand experience with feeling lost and uninformed, and the journey to a confident and comprehensive grasp on things.
My family has 10+ years of experience teaching GCSE Maths and Science, from whom I have learned how to exercise the necessary skills, approach unfamiliar problems, and most importantly, effectively teach students of all ages and abilities. However, I must note that I myself was located in India during the COVID-19 lockdown, and was unable to take the GCSEs there, instead taking the Indian equivalent. I achieved A grades (91%+) grades in my exams, and my UK school and university recognised my proficiency in GCSE Maths & Sciences.

Learning online can have its difficulties. My journey to studying Engineering at the University of Bristol involved countless hours of successfully, but inefficiently, teaching myself the syllabus from online resources. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be so difficult and time-consuming for you!
My online lessons are designed to personally lead you into grasping the complex mathematical and physical concepts you need, instead of throwing generic resources at you. I use the digital whiteboard (and webcam, only if you wish) to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience, ensuring we're on the same page as we develop your understanding of the material.
Lessons can range from 1 to 2 hours, depending on your needs and the material to cover. If you feel more time is necessary, like to prepare for tests or revise coursework, I will try my best to accommodate longer sessions if it fits my schedule.
I encourage GCSE students of all ages to reach out to me, whether you're still in school, or completing further education.
If you're looking for guidance in exams from specific awarding bodies (Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR), I will gladly involve this in our lessons, since my family has 10+ years of experience teaching in this very field.
