About Sia
My interest in engineering began with a curiosity about how machines and systems work in everyday life. This led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, where I developed strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds, helping them understand engineering concepts in a clear and simple way. My experience has helped me guide students with patience and adapt to their individual learning needs.
I believe that engineering should be taught in a practical and understandable way. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into smaller, manageable steps. I use real-world examples, diagrams, and structured explanations to make learning more effective. I also encourage students to ask questions and think independently, which helps them build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of concepts.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring new technologies and staying updated with developments in engineering. This helps me bring fresh ideas into my lessons and keep them relevant. Teaching engineering is rewarding because I see students grow in confidence and develop strong technical skills. Helping them understand how things work and apply that knowledge effectively is something I truly value.

Engineering becomes easier to understand when students can connect theory with practical application. In my lessons, I focus on explaining core concepts such as mechanics, basic electronics, materials, and systems in a simple and structured way. I guide students step by step so they can clearly understand how each concept works in real situations. I use practical examples from daily life and basic engineering systems to make learning more relatable. Each session is designed to be calm and supportive, allowing students to ask questions and build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. This approach helps students develop a strong foundation and a clear understanding of technical ideas.
As students progress, lessons become more focused on application and problem solving. Beginners start with basic principles and simple explanations. Intermediate learners work on numerical problems, system understanding, and concept connections. Advanced learners focus on detailed problem solving, design thinking, and exam preparation. I provide regular practice, feedback, and revision to ensure steady improvement. This structured approach helps students gain confidence and handle technical challenges effectively over time.
Engineering also helps students develop logical thinking, creativity, and a structured approach to solving problems. As they improve, they begin to analyse situations more clearly and apply concepts with confidence. They learn to break down complex systems into smaller parts and understand how they work together. My goal is to help students feel comfortable with engineering concepts and build skills that support both academic success and future careers.
