About Daniel
My name is Daniel Haines and over my professional career in Engineering focus IT, I have seen a lot of students and graduates come to work without the basic IT skills to really hit the ground running when they start their career. I love nothing more than passing on knowledge and skills to those who want to learn them. I really love when someone learns a new skill, especially foundational.
This is the key, set a good foundation and more advanced and complex skills will naturally follow.
I have worked with different learning management systems and have seen many ways to teach. Finding the way the student prefers to learn is also a key to motivation, enjoyment and ultimately success.
Personally in my career, my greatest achievements have been in helping others to learn and succeed.

I like to find out where the student is currently at with their knowledge so as to set a baseline and then set small and achievable steps to learn. I understand students all learn differently, so like to tailor any lesson to what they prefer whether it be hands on and practical, visual using demonstrations or more theory based.
I have a bachelor of Engineering, but have spent the last 20 years in the Engineering IT space helping students with basic computer and CAD skills. I hold a certification in Solidworks and associated modules and have used almost all major CAD packages professionally.
I have taught students in the use of Computer aided design, Computer aided manufacture and major Engineering applications like PLM and PDM. I have held service desk support roles and have had alot of experience teaching people of all levels.
I am happy to have any length lesson, depending on what is needed after an initial discussion.
