Hello! My name is Ayan Sarkar. Based in Cooch Behar, I am a 24-year-old engineering aspirant with a strong foundation in Civil Engineering.
I have always believed that anyone can master Math and Science if it is taught the right way. My transition into teaching comes from a genuine passion for STEM and a desire to help students overcome their fear of board exams. I actively combine my technical background with modern teaching methods—from breaking down complex chemistry mechanisms to using interactive visual tools for physics.
Whether we are working together online or in person, my ultimate goal is to equip you with the logic and confidence you need to tackle any academic challenge independently.

My Approach as a Teacher
My teaching philosophy revolves around a simple truth: rote memorization doesn't survive in the exam hall, but true understanding lasts a lifetime. Coming from a Civil Engineering background, I view Math and Science not as abstract formulas, but as a logical system of problem-solving. My goal is to shift students away from the fear of science and mathematics by connecting complex textbook theories to real-world applications.
I focus heavily on building a rock-solid foundation, ensuring that by the time my students sit for their exams, they aren't just reacting to questions—they are actively analyzing them.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
I use a Concept-Driven Method. Instead of just giving the final formula, I break down why the formula exists.
For Physics & Math: I use practical examples and step-by-step logic, helping students visualize the mechanics of a problem.
For Chemistry & Biology: I focus on core mechanisms rather than blind memorization, making the sciences intuitive.
The "Teach-Back" Technique: To ensure true comprehension, I regularly ask my students to explain the concept back to me in their own words.
The Usual Structure of a Class
A standard 60-to-90-minute session is highly structured to maximize focus and retention:
Recall & Review (10-15 mins): We start by clearing doubts from the previous class or homework to ensure no learning gaps are left behind.
Core Concept Breakdown (30-40 mins): Introducing the new topic through interactive explanation, diagrams, and real-life examples.
Guided Practice (15-20 mins): We solve a few complex problems together, breaking down the strategy step-by-step.
Independent Execution (10 mins): The student solves problems completely on their own while I observe. This builds the critical exam-hall confidence they need.
My Special Features as a Teacher
Mastery of 550+ Organic Chemistry Equations: I do not ask students to blindly memorize reactions. I teach the core chemical mechanisms so that after every class, students can logically formulate and solve these equations completely on their own.
The Engineering Perspective: I bring an analytical, problem-solving mindset to the table, making WBBSE and CBSE curriculums feel practical and achievable.
Exam Strategy: Having a deep understanding of board and school exam patterns, I train students on time management, answer formatting, and how examiners grade papers.
Building Self-Reliance: My ultimate objective is to make myself obsolete. I train students on effective self-study techniques so they can tackle future academic challenges independently.
