About
I am a graduated engineering students with extensive experience as a tutor in physics and mathematics, I have provided comprehensive academic support across various roles. At UNSW, I have mentored students, offering guidance on course content, providing feedback on assessments, and ensuring those struggling do not fall behind. My role involved enhancing teaching quality by explaining questions, tracking performance, and assisting with grading. Previously, I worked as an EAP and IELTS teacher at IDP in New Zealand, where I tailored teaching methods to boost students' English proficiency, leading to measurable improvements in their reading scores. Additionally, as a part-time tutor at Youth Talent Education, I conducted evaluations to identify student needs, resulting in significant improvements in their exam grades and overall academic performance.
Moreover, I have actively engaged in various extracurricular activities, demonstrating strong leadership and a commitment to community involvement. As a Student Representative at UNSW, I provided valuable feedback to faculty, organized events, and executed projects to support my peers. My involvement in the City of Sydney Council's ISLA Program allowed me to further develop my project management skills by working on key initiatives to enhance the experience of international students in Sydney. I also completed the Leadership Foundation Program at UNSW, where I gained essential knowledge in leadership, social awareness, and resilience. Additionally, as a Peer Support Leader at St Andrew’s College, I guided peers, organized events, and worked to improve the school's support system, reflecting my dedication to creating inclusive and supportive environments.
I am applying for a teaching role because of my strong passion for education and my extensive experience in tutoring and teaching across various subjects, including physics, mathematics, and English, in both Australia and New Zealand. My academic background in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) at UNSW, combined with my high distinction in physics and my hands-on experience as a casual tutor, has prepared me to effectively mentor and support students in achieving academic excellence. Additionally, my experience teaching EAP and IELTS has equipped me with the ability to assess student proficiency and tailor my teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
Furthermore, my leadership roles as a student representative and City of Sydney student ambassador have strengthened my communication and problem-solving skills, which are crucial for delivering high-quality education. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to contribute to an organization that is committed to improving children's education quality, and I am eager to bring my dedication and skills to support student success in your institution.
Therefore, these are the reasons why I decided to apply for a teaching role and why I believe I am a good fit for this role.

My techniques and teaching methodology:
Firstly, I would provide general academic support and guidance by mentoring students with physics and mathematics content, those included explaining the knowledge and concept in a simpler way (by using real world example) that students can understand.
Secondly, I would assign practice tasks for them because mathematics and physics required not only theoretical knowledge but lots of practice to consolidate those knowledge and so students can better utilize them during the exams.
Thirdly, I would provide advice and feedback for their assessments by explaining the solutions for them so they can understand the exam techniques and how they can use the right methods and knowledge to solve these problems.
Fourthly, I would follow up with students who are struggling and providing tailored support to ensure they don’t fall behind.I would also encourage students who made improvement.
In addition, I would facilitating teaching quality by explaining questions, taking attendance and tracking students’ academic performance.
Moreover I would help grading students’ assignments, quizzes and exams. Provided relevant written and verbal feedback for improvement.
Finally, I would create a positive and engaging atmosphere by assisting children with learning difficulties and ensure they can get the same right and support to learn equally compared to other students.
