I’m a civil engineer currently studying for an MSc in hydrology and water management at Newcastle University. I did a levels in maths and further maths in 2016 and I have since been tutoring on and off alongside my university studies !

I like to use past papers/ homework to get a sense of where the student is tripping up and so I can see how the student is working through questions. I then ask a student to attempt a question and then I can see which steps they’re missing out. I then do an example for them and encourage them to ask questions. I try to explain concepts in different ways. There is often more than one right way of getting the answer!
