About Josie
My professional path into engineering was shaped by a deep interest in understanding how machines, systems, and structures operate. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, where I developed a strong foundation in system design, physics, and structural analysis. Over the past ten years, I have combined professional engineering practice with teaching, discovering immense fulfillment in helping others grasp the power of structured thinking and innovative design. I approach teaching with clarity, passion, and patience. Engineering concepts can be complex, but I break them into understandable steps, supporting students as they build confidence and skill. I believe that everyone has the capacity to think like an engineer when guided properly. I emphasize problem analysis, structured reasoning, and creative experimentation, creating an environment where students feel encouraged to explore and invent. Outside of teaching, I continue to engage in engineering projects, on-site problem analysis, and design improvement initiatives. These real-world experiences enable me to bring practical insight into my lessons. Engineering shapes the way I see challenges and solutions in everyday life, and I am deeply committed to helping my students discover that same ability to shape the world through intelligence, innovation, and purpose.

Engineering is the art of turning ideas into functional reality. In my lessons, students are taught to approach the world as designers and problem-solvers, capable of analyzing systems and improving them. Engineering principles are presented as tools for understanding how structures, mechanisms, and processes work together. I create a learning environment that encourages creative thought supported by scientific reasoning. Each lesson blends conceptual exploration with practical understanding, allowing students to connect theoretical knowledge with everyday applications in a meaningful way.
The progression of learning is carefully structured. Beginners explore basic concepts such as forces, motion, simple machines, and material behavior. Intermediate lessons involve more detailed analysis, including load distribution, energy transfer, and system efficiency. Advanced learners focus on project-based challenges, conceptual modeling, and design evaluation. I integrate real-world case studies and adaptive challenges to ensure that students gain not only academic knowledge, but also the ability to think and respond like engineers in real situations. Reflection and improvement are constant themes throughout the process.
As students grow in their engineering understanding, they develop resilience and a problem-solving mindset that extends far beyond the classroom. They become more independent, analytical, and confidence-driven in their approach to challenges. Engineering teaches them to see obstacles not as limitations, but as puzzles to be solved. My ultimate goal is to inspire a new generation of thinkers who are capable of designing solutions that contribute positively to the world around them.
