About Anne
As a dedicated student specializing in Design, Planning & Surveying in Construction T-Levels with a focus on engineering and architecture at Weston College, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to my role as a maths tutor.
My strong academic background is highlighted by an A* in GCSE maths and notable achievements in various mathematics competitions, including securing 2nd Place in the IMAS International Round (International Mathematics Assessment for Schools) and 2nd Place in the English Violympics (International Round).
I am passionate about sharing my love for maths and helping students build confidence in their abilities. Each lesson typically lasts 1 hour. My teaching methodology involves starting each session with a 10-minute recap of the previous lesson, focusing on correcting any errors. This is followed by 15-20 minutes of introducing new concepts and working through starter exercises. The remainder of the lesson is dedicated to having students tackle more challenging questions independently, after which I review their answers and provide explanations as needed.
I have extensive tutoring experience, having taught my siblings, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends since I was around 10 years old. I've also conducted online lessons in Vietnamese, English, and Maths.
My lessons are designed for students at various levels, from KS1 to KS4 (GCSEs), and I typically teach children and teenagers aged 5-16 years old.
