About Laura

Hello! I’m a TEFL-certified English teacher and native British English speaker with experience teaching both adults and children, online and in the classroom.

I live in Sweden and have been learning Swedish myself, which has given me valuable insight into the language-learning process from a student’s perspective.

I’m friendly, supportive, and encouraging, and my teaching approach is organised, interactive, and focused on helping you achieve your goals.

I use an immersive approach and speak only English during lessons, creating a natural learning environment that helps you improve your understanding and develop confidence when communicating in English.

About the lesson

Do you want lessons that follow a clear plan?

My lessons follow Twinkl’s English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum, a highly regarded professional programme used by 75,000 teachers across 150 countries.

The curriculum is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and covers 15 levels, from beginner (A1) to upper-intermediate (B2).
This gives your learning a clear structure and allows us to build your skills step by step.

Do you want lessons that are interesting and engaging?

I use colourful digital presentations, interactive activities, and listening materials based on real-life situations to make lessons enjoyable, practical, and varied.

All lesson materials are available in both British and American English, so you can choose the variety you prefer.

How Does It Work?

During your first lesson, you’ll complete a dedicated assessment test to help us identify your current level and decide where to begin in the curriculum. There’s no need to start from the beginning if you already know some English.

We’ll then work through the curriculum at a pace that suits you. You choose how often you have lessons, when they take place, how long they last, and how much time you’d like to spend on each topic.

You’ll always know where you are in the curriculum and be able to track your progress as you improve.
