About Lola
I am an experienced Flute tutor with more than 7 years of teaching experience, working with School students, College students, and working professionals. Teaching music is my passion, and I enjoy helping students discover their musical potential through structured and enjoyable learning.
My teaching approach is supportive, patient, and goal-oriented. I focus on building strong fundamentals such as breathing control, tone development, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I make sure students understand the basics clearly before moving on to advanced concepts. Lessons are well-planned but flexible, allowing students to learn at a comfortable pace.
In addition to flute performance, I teach related subjects like music theory, notation reading, scales, rhythm exercises, ear training, and basic harmony. I also help students prepare for music exams, auditions, concerts, and academic assessments. For working professionals, I design lessons that fit their schedule while still ensuring steady progress.
My unique strength lies in my clear communication and structured practice methods. I guide students on how to practice effectively at home, avoid common mistakes, and improve step by step. I also focus on developing confidence, discipline, and musical awareness. My goal is to help students become independent learners who enjoy playing flute with confidence and expression.

My flute teaching methodology is designed to provide a flexible, collaborative, and supportive learning experience. I begin by understanding each student’s learning style and tailoring lessons to their strengths, pace, and musical interests. This ensures lessons are effective, engaging, and enjoyable.
Flexibility allows me to adapt exercises, repertoire, and practice methods to align with the student’s goals and progress. Collaboration is emphasised through duets, ensemble practice, and group activities, building confidence, musical expression, and teamwork. Positivity is at the core of every lesson, creating a nurturing environment where students feel inspired to experiment, take risks, and celebrate achievements.
In addition to flute instruction, I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive methodology balances technical skill with creative expression, helping students grow into confident, expressive, and versatile musicians.
