About Nia
I am an experienced piano tutor with 13 years of teaching experience, working with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a supportive, motivating, and structured learning environment where students feel confident to explore music and develop their skills.
I have helped students perform in recitals, prepare for graded exams, and participate in competitions, achieving both technical mastery and performance confidence. Lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and expressive performance, all customized to the student’s level, goals, and interests.
I aim to inspire creativity, perseverance, and a lifelong passion for music in every student.

My teaching methodology emphasizes compassion, patience, and attentive guidance. I believe that students thrive when they feel supported, encouraged, and understood. In piano lessons, I focus on developing technical skills, sight-reading, rhythm, and expressive musicality, combining structured exercises with creative and enjoyable pieces.
I maintain open communication, encouraging students to ask questions, share goals, and reflect on their learning. Supportiveness is key—I guide students through challenges patiently, celebrate their progress, and help them gain confidence and self-motivation.
I apply this methodology to other subjects I teach, including music theory, composition, and ear training. My aim is to provide a nurturing, inspiring environment where students grow musically, creatively, and personally while developing a lifelong love for learning.
