About Mary
Hi!! I’m a high school senior who has taken both AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC, and I genuinely enjoy helping others understand math. I know how frustrating it can feel when something doesn’t click right away, so I always focus on explaining things in a clear, patient, and relatable way.
I’ve worked hard to maintain strong grades in my math classes and have earned a full-ride academic scholarship to The Ohio State University, along with several additional academic scholarships. These experiences have strengthened my problem-solving skills and my ability to break down complex concepts !!
I’m easy to talk to, encouraging, and want my sessions to feel comfortable and stress-free. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and actually feel good about math !!

I focus on making math feel less intimidating and more understandable by breaking concepts down step-by-step and connecting them to real-life examples. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and interactive !! I always make sure students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace !!
A typical lesson starts with reviewing any confusing topics, followed by guided practice where we solve problems together, and then independent practice to build confidence. I also like to share helpful strategies, shortcuts, and ways to check answers so students feel more prepared for tests.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain things in multiple ways until it clicks, along with my positive and supportive approach. I’ve taken advanced math courses, so I understand both the material and the common struggles students face.
My lessons are ideal for middle school through high school students, especially those taking algebra, precalculus, or calculus who want to improve their understanding and confidence !!
