About Andrew

I am a 25-year EMS professional, former Paramedic Program Director, and healthcare leader with a Master of Healthcare Administration. I have spent over 15 years teaching and mentoring EMT and Paramedic students, helping them succeed on the NREMT and in the field. My approach is professional, structured, and supportive, focused on building true clinical competence, not just test performance. Students can expect clear explanations, honest feedback, and a respectful learning environment grounded in real-world experience and high standards.

My approach to tutoring EMT and Paramedic students is structured, clinically rigorous, and application-focused. I do not teach students to memorize answers — I teach them to think like clinicians. My sessions are built around developing clinical reasoning, pathophysiologic understanding, and confident decision-making under pressure. Whether you are preparing for the NREMT, struggling with cardiology, or trying to connect assessment findings to treatment priorities, I break complex topics into clear, systematic frameworks.

I use a layered learning model:

Concept Clarification First – We start by ensuring you truly understand the underlying pathophysiology, not just surface-level facts.

Clinical Pattern Recognition – I teach you how to identify patterns in assessment findings so you can anticipate the correct intervention.

Scenario-Based Application – We apply knowledge to progressively complex patient scenarios to strengthen critical thinking.

Exam Strategy Integration – For NREMT preparation, I teach you how the test thinks: distractor analysis, prioritization logic, and question dissection techniques.

High-Yield Reinforcement – I provide structured summaries, decision trees, and mental frameworks you can use on exams and in the field.

A standard session may include:

1. Quick assessment of your current understanding

2. Targeted teaching on a focused topic (e.g., shock states, airway management, cardiology, pharmacology)

3. Guided walk-through of 3–5 clinical scenarios

4, NREMT-style question analysis

5. Identification of weak areas and a clear improvement plan

If desired, we can also review past exams, lab scenarios, or patient care reports.

What Sets Me Apart:

23 years of EMS experience

Former Paramedic Program Director

Master of Healthcare Administration

Extensive experience teaching EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic students

Deep understanding of NREMT testing structure

Real-world operational and clinical leadership experience

I understand not only what is tested, but what actually matters in the field. I bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and street-level clinical competence.

Contact me if you are an EMT student (initial or refresher), AEMT student, Paramedic student, NREMT candidate, struggling with specific topics (cardiology, respiratory, shock, pharmacology, trauma, or medical assessment), or feel “close but not confident” before registry.

If you want structured guidance, honest feedback, and high-level clinical coaching designed to make you both exam-ready and field-ready, these lessons are for you.
